Router DNS settings do nothing
Being able to set the default DNS for everyone in the house is extremely important.
I set up my router to use Quad9 as the primary DNS; the setting does nothing.
https://on.quad9.net/ says `No, you are NOT using quad9.`
Unfortunately, I am not able to install better firmware, which is at `V1.0.6.16`.
Status: `No new firmware available`

ADVANCED > Setup > Internet Setup > IPv4

The router was not the problem.

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
