account lock out for zero reason

i am getting account lock outs for zero reason

how do i fully remove this useless feature?

  • I think I am getting the same issue as you after I upgraded to the latest software 6.10.5 yesterday. On some browser as soon as I type in the IP address to my NAS I get a prompt to reset password. On another browser (Internet Explorer) I managed to login to my admin page but as soon as it loads I get this Connecting to Readynas Admin Page.... and a prompt to re-enter my username and password and then I get the reset password page.

     

    Sorry I do not have the solution, I have been searching and found your issue and I thought they might be related or the same issue.

      So far I have tried and OS reinstall and at least that let's me log in and do chagnes on my admin page

        So with an OS reinstall resetting the admin password to: `password`, the admin page works. Once I changed the admin password to the one I usually use the problem has returned. So this is definitely and issue with the admin password.

  • Yep, I am getting the same thing. Now I cant get into manage my ReadyNAS at all. So it sounds like the OS re-install solved it? That doesn't mess with the data on the drives right?
