Add ReadyNAS to ReadyCloud app

Hi Buildster,
You can only have one ReadyCLOUD/myNETGEAR account that has management access, which is the account that you used in joining the NAS to ReadyCLOUD. You can invite the other two users to access the shared folders via ReadyCLOUD. You may check this article on how to invite users to access the shares via ReadyCLOUD.

I don't use ReadyCloud myself, so I don't recall whether accounts are re-created when you rejoin the cloud, or if you would need to redo them manually. I think permissions in shares would need to be redone.

Hi,
After re-trying I think my initial question should be praphrased a bit.
when I log in to readycloud.netgear.com portal or ReadyCLOUD app on mobile phone as user1@company.com I can see that syncing works. In other words if I create a folder on ReadyNAS I can that folder in ReadyCLOUD app as well. And that user1@comany.com can manage my ReadyNAS device.
However, I need another two users user2@company.com and user3@company.com to be able to manage that ReadyNAS device.
How do I assign this permission to that two users?
Thanks.

I think the task at hand is to restore your ReadyCloud functionality.
I'm not 100% sure how to grant ReadyCloud accounts management access - with normal user accounts, you put the account in the admin group.
These questions are better addressed to Marc_V or JohnCM_S (or the full community).

Hi,
As far as I understand ReadyNAS device can be managed from ReadyCLOUD only by one account (or email address).
(like on the attached screenshot)
However, if I want some user to have a specific shared folder to be displayed in their ReadyCLOUD app I should invite that user the way you advised.
Is that correct?

Hi Buildster,
Yes, that is correct.

If you have more than one person that needs to remotely administer the NAS, then a VPN is a batter choice than ReadyCloud. I personally choose ZeroTier, but there are other options. Many routers have built-in VPN capability.
Note that when you access the NAS via a VPN, the NAS considers you a local user, so you use that account name and password.
