After Firmware Update to 6.5.0 the New ReadyCloud Will Not Discover My RN102
I am on a Mac OS 10.11.5 I have updated the firmware for my ReadyNAS 102 to 6.5.0. I've signed into ReadyCloud with my Netgear Support account. I've downloaded and installed the new ReadyCLOUD ...

Hello ReadyJoe,
Logging in to ReadyCloud when you have updated to FW 6.5.0 needs myNetgear account which should be in an email format. Please check on the admin page if the ReadyCloud account is still entered under Cloud and if that is still using the old account, it needs the myNetgear account entered too in an email format.
Test first at readycloud.netgear.com before checking on the desktop app.

YES... i am running the 1.12.1259456 app on my win10 pc still not working "online(VPN Disconnected)"
What I meant is do you have another way to remotely connect to your network? Perhaps remote connection to your PC? Or another VPN?
If you are going to be away for an extended period and need to remotely access a network it's always good to have multiple ways that you can remotely log back in.

hello,
are you telling to use some other "thing" because NETGEAR cant get there ducks in a row? answer YES i could but i would REALLY like it if the PC app worked, the new MyNETGEAR site works great, but i just cant map a network to my pc with that site. i could use 'ftp' or 'http' but i dont trust it.

Like mdgm, I'm a belt+suspenders guy myself. It's not so much about Netgear (though that might be the issue in your case). When I travel, sometimes the local network security policies block my remote access. OpenVPN is a possible backup (and is also secure). I use it instead of ReadyCloud myself. FTPS and remote desktop are my backup methods.
OwnCloud is perhaps another way.

So Netgear are going to leave us hanging with the VPN disconnected thing are they??

If you're currently travelling and we need to check things on your NAS and you can't currently access it there's not much that can be done till you get home from your trip.

Home from what trip?

Hi, i'm the one who is currently on the oppositeside of the world to my NAS, but O've had my PC turned on and I can access it via TeamViewer.
I don't often have agood signal, so will appreciate instructions I will complete as time permits, Then I'll update as instructed and update this thread.
I dd get an email about the change, but got the impression it would work seamlessly. I thought wrong, lol...

Have you tried all the suggestions in ReadyCLOUD to MyNETGEAR Single Sign-On FAQ ?
There have been some recent additions to this FAQ.

The only thing that's even remotely pertinent to my situation is the question "What should I do if I upgrade my ReadyCLOUD account to a MyNETGEAR account but I do not see my ReadyNAS systems in ReadyCLOUD?" and the suggestion "Check the DNS settings on your ReadyNAS system to make sure that it can resolve domain names, for example netgear.com" but i've no idea what "resolve domain names" means. The NAS definitely has internet connectivity.
I did mention that I said i can actually see the NAS and its contents through the web portal "readycloud.netgear.com". I've already left the cloud and rejoined as i had to do this in order for the new email login to workAny other pearls of wisdom? Also, I opened port 6300 months ago.

Also also, When i use my iPhone and your wonderful rcloud app it states that the NAS is online but when i click the NAS it goes to disconnected.
