Downloading .pdf files from ReadyCloud

Good afternoon everyone. We are having an issue where when we download some (the issue is affecting about 15 files) pdf files through the ready cloud, they are named the parent folder and have no file type. This is only happening through the ReadyCloud; when the are gotten right off of the ReadyNAS, they are just fine (names and file types are correct). It is only a few folders in, so it is not a file name length issue, and the files are not corrupted, becuase we can get them off of the NAS just fine. The ReadyNAS is running great and we just updated it to the lastest version. The problem existed both before and after the update.

Any help/advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Creed088,

    Welcome to the Community!

For us to isolate the issue, try moving the files to another folder or try to rename one of the files. Did you download the files one-by-one or the entire folder?

I'll look forward to your response.

    Thanks,

      JohnRo,

      Thank you.

Wehn moving that folder to another spot (closer to the base dir), they download fine. I mis-spoke before about the contents of this folder being the issue. All of the folders that are 1 hop closer to the bas dir, their contents are having the same issue.

Also, I added a few test files of other types and they are doing the same thing; downloading inccorectly.

Oh, one by one, and the entire folder, both outcomes were the same.

It seems to me like a name length issue through the ReadyCLOUD. Like I said above, they download as you'd expect locally from the ReadyNAS.

        Hello Creed088,

I have not encountered such a thing, but I can definitely test it on some units. I am going to need some information for me to test accurately. I have enumerated my questions below:

        1. What is your naming convention? Do you use special characters or number?

        2. Lenght of the folder names.

        3. Firmware version of the NAS.

I'll look forward to your response.

        Thanks,
