8 TopicsReadyCloud or equivalent for Orbi+ReadyNAS NV+ combo?
Hello. New user here. I'm looking for a way to access my ReadyNAS NV+ (2009 ish model. firmware 4.1.16) via cloud using readyCloud or whatever superseded it. I tried to follow the steps to add NAS to the shared volume but Orbi's admin page doesn't show any readyShare pane execept for printer sharing. Am I attempting to do that is not supported by the combination of my devices? (Clients are mac os sierra and iOS10 base) It'd hard to believe that Orbi the latest product wouldn't support cloud access. Thanks in advance.3.2KViews0likes1CommentReadycloud 1.5.9 File Dates changed to today for images and movies without EXIF data
I've seen similar posts but without a solution. Using Readycloud 1.5.9 on an iPhone 6S, iOS 10.2. Files synch well if EXIF data exists on the photos which includes those taken with internal camera. Unfortunately images that are screen shot or taken within apps like snapchat are uploaded without the original File Create and File Modify date. Movies taken with the internal camera and within apps also are reset to the upload File Modify and File Create date. Therefore all movies, screen captures, and app movies and images are now dated today's date. Need a solution or this app isn't useful at all. Thanks.3.7KViews1like5CommentsReadyCLOUD Services offline
Hello all, I am suffering from an issue which a lot have in the past but cannot seem to solve it whatsoever, details below; Model: ReadyNAS 104 Firmware 6.4.1 Environment: my office with 40mbps ethernet connection. The issue is that I have a static IP connection to my NAS and DNS server settings as below but I cannot seem to enable or access ReadyCLOUD services whatsoever, screenshots to follow; I have researched extensively and have not yet managed to get it working, from my limited knowledge about NAS, I tried changing the DNS settings many times yet to no avail. I also tried rebooting yet it made no difference whatsoever. I also tried a Safari and Chrome as browsers and yet did not make any difference. I appreciate your help and thank you in advance, have a great day.Solved3.9KViews0likes3CommentsTips for merging photos and movies from multiple cameras and renaming to a common date format
Sharing my command line use of Exiftool to rename my photos and movies from multiple sources so I can merge them and create a common media library. Examples of this, including the format of media that occur in the same second: 2016-06-16 19.28.01.jpg 2016-06-16 19.28.02-1,jpg 2016-06-16 19.28.02-2.jpg 2016-06-26 11.06.08.mov Here is what I do at the command line after changing to the directory containing the media to be renamed: -- Start by renaming photos with a JPG extension -- Use the EXIF CreateDate or "Date Taken" "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileName<CreateDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" IMG*.jpg -- Then rename photos with a PNG extension - but these probably don't have EXIF data but try anyway -- Use the EXIF CreateDate or "Date Taken" "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileName<CreateDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" *.png -- then rename the photos using the file system dates (a little dangerous) for any reamining ones -- use the FileModifyDate "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileName<FileModifyDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" "IMG*.JPG" "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileName<FileModifyDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" "IMG*.PNG" -- RENAME movies using TrackCreateDate "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileModifyDate<TrackCreateDate" "-FileName<TrackCreateDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" *.mov "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileModifyDate<TrackCreateDate" "-FileName<TrackCreateDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" *.mp4 "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileModifyDate<TrackCreateDate" "-FileName<TrackCreateDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" *.WMV -- if no EXIF data for movies, use file system information. change prefix to limit to files not yet changes "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileName<FileModifyDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" IMG*.mov "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileName<FileModifyDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" IMG*.avi "C:\Program Files (x86)\exiftool-9.78\exiftool(-k).exe" "-FileName<FileModifyDate" -d "%Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S%%-c.%%e" vid*.wmv2.6KViews1like1CommentCan't connect to ReadyCLoud, but connects to Raidar...
Ive had my ReadyNAS 102 for a few years and its worked fine. I have it setup to link directly through ethernet from Rn102 to my iMac. I have the unit setup with Time Machine for my backups, and a month and half ago it said it had to do a new reboot of the unit and start a fresh Time Machine backup. As an aside, i have the new OS Sierra on my iMac. Long story short, the Time Machine can't make a new backup, so i thought i'll log into the ReadyCloud and wipe it and start with fresh drives. However now my computer doesn't see the RN102 through readycloud. The odd thing is is that RAIDAR can see the unit, but readycloud can't find/discover it. I'm thinking maybe the OS Sierra update did somethign wonky....honestly any recommendations are welcome. Thanks!4KViews0likes9CommentsDifferent versions of ReadyCloud on ReadyNas 104 6.5.0
I have two ReadyNAS 104's Both recently upgraded to 6.5.0 A while back I accidentally disabled ReadyCloud on the first and then added it again - then after that had to log in to admin Pages using "admin" account rather than main user account. It works anyway so am Ok with that. Since upgrade to 6.5.0 - I need to use "admin" account on both. Now, going onto "Cloud" tab of both - the ReadyCloud option seems to be significantly different on both. Settings button also gived different options. Not a major issue as I don't use it much but thought I'd check why this is. Hi I have a ReadyNas pro 6 (RNDP6310) upgraded to OS6 (FW 6.4.1).OS6 works completely fine except 1 thing if i try to enable ReadyCloud it promts me to the message "The ReadyDrop-service isn't supported anymore since 6.2.0, .....". The device itself tells me that Readycloud is connected and i can discover the device but In ReadyCLOUD the device shows under Discover but is offline on the main page. I already tried a factory reset, rebooting it multiple times, checked the cables and tried to turn it off and on again :) . Every time I try and toggle ReadyCLOUD it comes up with a ReadyDROP warning, saying service depreciated. In my local network i can acces the shares without any problem and the nas works as it should. Because we're on the road allot for our clients i need a handy wayto acces the nas remotely. I tried using a "back door" using ftp and a FTP network driveprogram but thats not the cleanest way in my eyes. Any advice on my problem or how to use an alternative ? Grateful for any advice. Good afternoon everyone. We are having an issue where when we download some (the issue is affecting about 15 files) pdf files through the ready cloud, they are named the parent folder and have no file type. This is only happening through the ReadyCloud; when the are gotten right off of the ReadyNAS, they are just fine (names and file types are correct). It is only a few folders in, so it is not a file name length issue, and the files are not corrupted, becuase we can get them off of the NAS just fine. The ReadyNAS is running great and we just updated it to the lastest version. The problem existed both before and after the update. Any help/advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.4.7KViews0likes3Comments
