File Access permissions: Only "Everyone" allows Cloud users

I hope I can explain this clearly. When I edit a share's settings I see a dialog box with 3 tabs across the top: Properties, Network Access, and File Access" All my LAN permissions operate as I want them to, but if I select anything other than "Everyone" in the Security section of the File Access tab then ReadyCLOUD users can't see any files; they can see the share, but not the files. So is ReadyCLOUD access all-or-nothing, with no granular options?

Also, what is the function of the Folder Owner and Folder Group section in the Security area of the File Access tab?

    What version of ReadyNAS OS are you running?

    The Folder Owner and Group are the default owner and group for the folder. You can assign them permissions that are different to other users who access the folder.
  • I'm running 6.1.9 on a 102.

    In the Security section of the File Access tab of the Setting dialog, I have the folder owner set to Admin and the folder group set to the main user group, and read/write permission for both. However if I uncheck Everyone and select different users or groups, none of the Cloud users can see any files, even if the folder owner and folder group is changed back to the default "guest". To be clear, any of the groups or users I select are set to read/write; none of my users or groups are set to read only.

    What protocol are your ReadyCloud users using to access the NAS when you encounter the problem? Do you have the problem both going to readycloud.netgear.com and using the ReadyCloud app on your PC?
