You can't hide the hidden shares from specific users, but on the Windows side you can tell windows explorer to show hidden files.
You could also use the private home share feature of the NAS, and then there will be a share for each NAS username that is hidden from other users. On the NV+ v1, home shares can be made visible over CIFS, FTP, and NFS, but not http or afp.
Another option you might consider is getting a VPN router. That lets you access the NAS using CIFS remotely, w/o needing to use a cloud server.
