Skywalker has developed a solution so we can fix this via SSH on the 102 as well.
This has been used by support to fix btwixt's system.
It turns out both the serial number and the MAC address were wrong and needed to be fixed.

Thank you, mdgm. I understood your explanation. My apologies, BrianL. And, yes, I was hoping for a fix via SSH. Support is working the problem but it is beginning to sound like the solution will involve returning the unit. Sincerely, btwixt
