Readycloud pc app windows 10 online (vpn disconnected)

I have multiple laptops at my office that use the readycloud app to connect to my RN204 at home.

Only one of the laptops cannot connect.

Its running windows 10 pro.

My other windows 10 pro laptop can connect so its not my work network. My phone is also able to connect.

This all started after the update to firmware 6.5.

Here is whatI have done so far:

uninstalled and re-installed readycloud

rebooted the RN204

checked the DNS settings on the RN204

logged into the readycloud web interface and I was able to see the shares.

disabled all other network adapters other than my main one and the leaf adapter.

turned on airplane mode and turned off bluetooth.

turned off my windows firewall and windows defender.

turned off my antivirus.

None of this worked. I am at a loss since it works fine on my other win 10 pro laptop.

I did notice that the leaf adapter on the laptop that works only has one ipv4 address.

On the laptop that doesnt work there are two ipv 4 addresses and two different subnets.

thank you for taking the time to read this. Please help if you can.

    Hello jlib,

    Welcome to the community!

Can you post where it shows 2 leaf adapters?

There should only be 1. Can you check please what is the leaf network IPv4 address of the not working one?

    Regards,

      Hi Jennc,

Thanks for replying. I was able to resolve the issue.

I signed out and exited the netgear readycloud desktop app and then disabled the leaf adapter.

I went into the properties of the adapter while it was disabled and saw there was an ipv4 address assigned manually.

I cant remember the complete address but the first two octets were 5.33.

I do remember the mask, it was 255.0.0.0.

I removed the address and set the adapter to obtain an address automatically.

Then enabled the adapter and started the readycoud software.

Now I am only getting one ipv4 address on the leaf adapter and I am able to get to my folders.

I saw the two ipv4 addresses in the details section of the adapters status:

                right click the adapter

                click status

                click details
