ReadyNas Remote device shows offline when on WAN
Hi
I'm trying to setup ReadyNas remote for a client, but have been unsuccessful so far. ReadyNas remote is installed on the NAS unit and enabled. The remote client is installed on the workstations and logs in successfully, however the divice shows offline when they are connected over the internet. It does show online when connected to the LAN though.
Nas Unit: ReadyNas Duo v1
Raidiator version : 4.1.14
ReadyNas Remote version : 1.0.6.85
LeafP2P : 1.9.9-78
Should port forwarding be enabled for the NAS unit?

That would be one option to try to see if you can get it working.

Also, try disabling firewall/security software. And add 8.8.8.8 as secondary DNS in the network settings.

mdgm-ntgr: I take it the port forwarding would have to be done on the client's router forwarded to the NAS unit's IP and the set the same port in the RNR client software? I have tried that already, but will try again.
JennC: Do you mean disable the firewall/security software & set the DNS on the client's workstation or on the NAS unit / router? I have already tried disabling the firewall on the workstation, it didn't help.
Attached is the leafp2p log (I've just hashed out the IP addresses and usernames)
It looks like it does establish a connection between the client and NAS unit, but then the connection is closed again.
