Redy NAS 212 .tpm files and Word temporary files
Hi
It is since a couple of months that in my shared folder I find a lot of .tmp files and temporary Word files.
I have tried in moving the .tmp files to a local diretory but nothing changes.
It also happens with PDF files opened with Acrobat Reader
We also use Google Drive as cloud.
It happens randomly not every time we open or modify a file

Is this happening with Macs or with Windows PCs?
Generally the issue is on the PC side, as the NAS isn't creating (or deleting) these files - the application on the PC is doing that.

Hi
We use only Windows10- StephenBGuru - Experienced User
For word, you might want to check the autorecover settings that it is using.
There is one in particular you could try changing, which is "keep the last AutoRecovered version if I close without saving". Of course this would mean that if someone does close w/o saving that they'd lose their work.
You could also check the file owners, and see which users are creating them (though that assumes that the users are all using different NAS user accounts).
