RN204-100NES ReadyNAS 204 4 Bay drops off network
I've bought Unit with 2 3TB WD RED disks to add and have had those running well for 1 week using default xraid. Added 3rd and 4th drives and those synched over the course of 2 days. It completed software updates on install and was running the latest O/S. Not sure which version on firmware, i will need to hard reset to find out.
Since adding drives 3+4 i've installed a couple of default apps, Virus scanner and email.
Now after several hours the unit drops off the network. Display at front is blank. Blue power button is on - blue, green lights for 4 disks are on. NIC is blinking and stops blinking when removing NIC.
This happened last night and i hard reset which then allowed it to start up and behave as normal.. I'd rather not do that again.
Any thoughts?
THanks,
Patrick

If you purchased new, then you have 90 day installation support.
So you could contact support.netgear.com.

thanks i've raised a call but got as far as having to dial the premium number to speak to somebody.
If i don't get anything from netgear overnight i'll arrange a return with amazon. Not the best service so far from Netgear.
Thanks for replying.
