Cannot activate Antivirus
Hi,
I am experiencing Ransomware attacks and I would like to know how to activate Antivirus on my ReadyNAS system. I know that the option SHOULD appear in System-->Settings-Services but unfortunately the antivirus button does not appear there. Now, I am also running ZoneAlarm Extreme Security on all my local computers, but it does not seem to be able to work on the NAS.
Does anyone have any helpful suggestions for me?
By the way: ZoneAlarm has stopped the ransomware attack in an early stage, but about 30 files were encrypted. I can get these back from backups (on the NAS), so that is not the big problem. But I am worried because I don't know how to protect the NAS right now.
Thank you all for any help you can give me.

Well, that would explain it. But I can always use ZoneAlarm and check the NAS over the Local Network, takes a long time, though.

What ReadyNAS model do you have, and what firmware are you running on it?

It's a ReadyNAS 104 with the latest firmware (6.10.4).

I believe Netgear removed the Anti-virus service from the RN100 series NAS, due to them being too underpowered to run it properly. I think this was done since the 6.10.x firmwares.
