if we upgrade 6.94 to 6.10.3 firmware data wil lost ? ready NAS 524X
im new here i need update RN 524X we have 24 TB data raid 5 so if we upgrade firware Data wil rebuild or only upgrade ? Still data there or i need to backup Data before Upgrade ?

Updating your Firmware shouldn't hurt your data stored on the NAS. Some things to check though.
Make sure that your NAS does not have any issues with it's drive, meaning all drives should be healthy before any upgrade. Volume space is also important, you should not update yet if your volume is almost full. Download your system logs before the update in case of any problems upgrading, so Support or members here will be able to check. Run volume maintenance first if possible, this is to ensure that your storage health is in good shape as well.
It is also a good practice to always have a backup of your data whether you will be updating your NAS or not :) so keeping a backup of your important data is a must.
Updating your NAS to the latest FW should be fine with your RN524X running 6.9.4, there shouldn't be any issues and should update successfully.
