BLIMEY you'd be lucky.. The heatsink just is NOT up to that task :) but you're right.. the chipset doesn't seem to support anything later than the E6x00 series.. It doesn't support E6x50 chips either.. which is a shame.. the newer chips might not be any faster, but they DO run cooler..
Also, at idle, the E6600 runs at 31 degress C (temp2) which is very happy and healthy!
