My what an interesting thread, as usual Chirpa makes me reassess my opinion of Ewoks, as I have an unfortunate prejudice since a nasty encounter in 1983.
I'm primarily interested in hardware virtualization and running as cool as possible to prolong the life the NAS/disks.
I'm not clear if the E6600 SL9ZL or E7400 SLGW3 would be better in this regard. I'm not running anything really cpu intensive (occasional spikes) I'm just hoping it will make my virtual machine more responsive.
