I installed Bittorrent Sync in late 2013 and in ran without problems.
Yesterday I updatet my ReadyNAS 312 to OS 6.1.7 and BTSync fails to start.
Version Installed: 1.2.93
If I click the "on switch" in the apps list, it says

- de_niroGuideto fix this issue you might need to uninstall the addon and then delete its share which name is btsync, then install the addon again.
- shenTutorI just tried this. First uninstalled the app, then the share.
Reinstalled app, same error :( - jsprdAspirantI have the same issue with Bittorent Sync.
Netgear might argue that this isn't their issue and rather the developer of the add-on app. As a user I have no idea, and really don't care.
As a user I basically don't care because, all that matters to me is, does it work or doesn't it work. I bought the ReadyNAS with a promise from Netgear that it was easy to install apps and they would work right out of the box with no Linux knowledge required.
Who is responsible for the Bittorent Sync Application? Who is responsible for the software not working? There is no question that Neagear ReadyNAS is loosing goodwill from this user as long as issues like this keeps popping up.
Why is the Bittorent App still available in the Apps section when it obviously doesn't work? The version in the Apps section is an old version (Same issue with Plex Media Server). Who is responsible for updating the apps? It feels like ReadyNAS OS 6 is the forgotten NAS where are the updates?
Reguards frustreded user - de_niroGuidethe issue only happens on X86 based NAS,the author of this addon is not NETGEAR so we have to report the issue to http://www.bittorrent.com/intl/de/sync

- GrilledSandwichAspirantHello Super-Poussin.
I have no idea how to use Linux so I need some help. I have the exact same issue that Shen is having with my ReadyNAS 314 after I upgraded to firmware 6.1.7.
Is it possible for me to download the updated packages from BT and just install into linux? Your version which is on the Netgear apps site is quite old and one of the staff at BT recommended I upgrade from 1.2.93 to 1.3.87 to see if it helps.
Could you assist at all as I love BT SYNC and I use it daily.
Thanks,
GrilledSandwich. - super_poussinVirtuosoHello
