ReadyDrop function
Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong forum - I couldn't find a specific ReadyDrop forum. Secondly, I'm not technical so please be gentle....
I have a Duo V2 that I've had for a while - works well for what I use it for, however I'm looking at backup options. I'm currently running a Windows XP machine at home, but looking at getting a Mac Mini.
I've been reading up on ReadyDrop, and depending on what you read, appears to have slightly different functionality. Some discussions refer to it as enabling basically BackUp from a Duo V2 to the cloud, whilst others imply it only syncs to other devices.
What I'm interested in is, can it backup my Duo V2 to the cloud so in the event of a failure I can change the drive (or NAS unit) and drag the data back down? So basically replicating one of the services such as Dropbox, but for the full contents of the data on the Duo (for free)?
Or is it purely for syncing across devices and there is no cloud storage as such?
Sorry for the simplistic questions - I'm getting different stories based on what I'm reading. One reason I'm interested is that I'd like to use the Duo as a Time Machine for my new Mac and backup to the cloud.

- GlynOAspirantAh, just seen this quote...
"ReadyDrop is essentially DropBox without having to store your data in the cloud," NetGear senior product manager of storage devices Matt Pahnke told V3.
So effectively syncs data to personal devices rather than remote storage in the cloud.
