ReadyNAS 102 & Insight App

Let me start by answering your questions - I have a basic Insight subscription and the first time I tried to claim the RN102 neither the switch nor the access point had been claimed. At this time both the switch and the access point have been claimed.
Now - I would expect, that if the problem were that I had reached the limit for the number of devices on my subscription plan, that the error message would reflect this - this message does not, and the error message I am currently getting is exactly the same as I was getting when I had no devices, one device or two devices.
Is it possible to remove devices from an Insight subscription so that I can test/troubleshoot this issue before committing to purchasing a premium Insight subscription?

Yes, it is possible to remove the devices from your Insight account. On the Insight app, you can just select the device that you want to remove and then tap Remove. Tap Remove again to confirm that you want to remove the device.
When you tried adding the RN102 to Insight, was the ReadyCLOUD enabled on the NAS?

Yes - ReadyCloud is enabled on the NAS and functional.
I think I should also mention that I have removed the Insight manages switch from my Insight subscription to facilitate, troubleshooting the issue, and it now shows under the tab headed "My Other NETGEAR Products", the ReadyNAS is shown under the tab headed "INSIGHT MANAGEABLE DEVICES".Hi fordem,
Upon checking this article, it appears that RN100 series is not included on the list of devices that Insight supported which could be the reason you are not able to add it. The ReadyNAS should be on at least OS 6.8.0 firmware and the models that are supported are RN2xx and above.

Which then leads me to my next question ...
Why is the Netgear Insight app telling me that it is? I have other, older Netgear devices on my network which the app does not suggest I can manage - how do I get rid of the prompts?
For what it's worth, the RN102 is running Ver. 6.9.3 of the OS, which I believe to the current stable version.
