readynas replicate question
Hi Guys,
I have few ReadyNas 314 and I was planning on using the replicate fuction.
WHat is saw is that everyday the replicate create a new folder and download all the files again, that not good cause this are server image and they are big over 100 GB each.
Is a way to replicate beetween NAS but every night just synch the new files? I want to back up all the files from several NAS to one NAS so I have a backup of everything in a NAS that is in another site.
Is this possible?

ReadyDR might work better for you, though that depends on how the server images are updated on the primary NAS.
If the images are updated so only changed blocks are rewritten, then ReadyDR will track the changes. But if the entire image is rewritten the NAS has no way to identify the changes.
I believe ReadyDR would require a VPN connection between the sites (I don't believe it works over the internet yet).
