    Hi timpd

Have you checked this under the cloud tab? it should have both green check marks.

Also you may want to add the google DNS (8.8.8.8) and the router address under the Network settings. You may also want to update to 6.9.3-RC1

    Hope this helps!

    Regards

      Thank for you response.

I can’t see see the 2 checkboxes in the cloud tab, are we talking the ReadyNas admin page?

have upgraded one of my 212’s to 6.9.3.beta2 but still no joy. After directing to the Google authorisation page I can authorise the readynas and then I’m stuck. On the iPad it’s skighly different and takes me to the readynas ‘recover password’ page?

would you be able to provide more info on the google DNS pls, I’m not sure how to do that exactly!

      thanks

      tim

        Which brwose are you using?

Cloud do please clear brwose's cache and try turn on Google Drive again?

  • New ReadyNAS owner here (bought ReadyNAS 6 Ultra used) and I too am having issues with both Dropbox and Google Drive.  I get them setup and they somewhat work, but they don't sync *all* files...  I see this is a VERY common issue.  What's really strange is that I can set it up exactly the same multiple times and it misses different files each time (so it has nothing to do with filenames).  I'm just testing with a single directory on Google Drive/Dropbox and it never syncs all files.  Have plenty of logs to share if support will look at them - would LOVE to get Google Drive sync working properly...

    Running 6.9.2...

OP - try using Microsoft Edge to do the inital setup.  Every once in a while, I can get the inital setup working in Chrome, but usually, it does the same thing you've seen.  Works every time via Microsoft Edge though.

This is usually what I see... Same files sync fine on windows machines using the same network...

      Hi timpd jtrosky

Yes it should be on the Admin page under Cloud tab. The two services should be online.

You can add DNS servers under Network tab and the Eth settings (Gear icon).

Also, have you tried disabling any security softwares on your Computers?

        Guide

My issue is *definitely* not security related.  I could disable Google Drive, remove the files on the NAS, re-enabled Google Drive and it would sync the same file that it failed on last time (but then not sync other files that succeeded last time).  It seems completely random as to which files it doesn't sync.  I've also tried the 8.8.8.8 DNS server - no improvement.  I've also tried both bi-direction sync and download only - same result.

This seems to be a VERY common issue with no solution.  What can I do to help get this resolved?  Hell, I just may share my Google Drive account info with support if that will help get the issue resolved!   I have the same type of issues with Dropbox.

I can sync the same accounts to any PC in the house without issue (same network).  No virus protection is enabled on the ReadyNAS or on the routers (again, if it were a network-wide issue, it wouldn't work on my PC's).

Please - what can I do to help get this issue solved?

        Thank you.

  • Great news that the Google Drive sync is fixed in 6.9.3!  I'll eagerly await for 6.9.3 to be released and upgrade when it is (and report back).

    Thank you!
