Unable to remove or reinstall Readyas Photos II
Yesterday, I had some problems with my readynas (Ultra 6 with 3 SAMSUNG HD204UI disks) and removed several addons using ssh ( bash /etc/frontview/addons/<module name>)
One of the modules I removed was READYNAS PHOTOS II.
Unfortunately, the webinterface did still show the addon as being installed. When I wanted to activate the addon, the webinterface freezes and it will not activate the addon.
Removing the addon using the interface resulted in the same problems.
So, I tried to reïnstall the addon, first by using the webinterfaces available plugins (but it was not listed here), then by uploading the BIN file.
Using the last method, the BIN file is uploaded, I press on Install, and nothing happens. However I do recieve an e-mail explaining that the installation of the plugin has failed.
"An error occurred while installing the add-on ReadyNAS Photos II."
Does anybody have an idea on how to fix this?
(and yes, I've searched the forums, but have not found a similar problem)

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDid you change the root MySQL password?
- walteijAspirantYes, of course I changed the MySQL root password, not using one would be quite insecure wouldn't it?
However, I changed it back to default (meaning none) and tried again (after fixing the PHP installation and its MySQL-extension) now it is working again.
It's a bit odd that this would not work if you have a password set to MySQL (but that might just be me and a bit more secure thoughts). - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIt's a known limitation of Photos II. It expects a blank password for MySQL
