Which Photo database are most using: Piwigo or Koken? Why?
So I'm looking to migrate off Photos II and to either Piwigo or Koken. I'm leaning towards Piwigo since I saw some older posts about Koken possibly going away. Either way, I like to hear from other...

I have not tried Koken, but I thought I's share some problems I had with Piwigo.
If you want to use it mostly like Photos, it may not be an issue. But I had problems using it with a dynamic IP. In some cases, user registration and other emails contained my (at that time) IP address rather than my No-IP URL. I had some conversations on their forum with another user and we worked out how to fix it, but it could only be done by editing some of their files. Thus, the fix did not survive an update.
The group for which that web site was run no longer exists, so I have not kept up with whether these issues were addressed in an update or still exist.

Bummer and too bad you don't have a link to their forum on what files were actually edited. I'm suspecting that any free or open source photo database is going to have limited support. Per their website: http://piwigo.org/ a new release was done in July so there must be some support still there.
Anyone try this simple photo database? https://lychee.electerious.com/

I was "Sandshark" there as well, so try a search. See also PM from me.

Will do and I have replied to your PM. Other than the DDNS issue, did you like Piwigo or moved onto something else? Did you install it from the Readynas App store as the version there seems old? I also use DDNS via NO IP so it will likely be an issue for me too if the fix was not carried through. I found your post on their forum on the email link issue: http://piwigo.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=25791
It's sort of disappointing that you made that post over a year ago and that this may still be an issue.
