104 support for 6TB hdds and Fan Replacement question

Is this technically impossible or could that get pushed in a future firmware?
Let me guess, the guarantee does NOT cover the (wearing part) fan (and its silent operation) for the 3 to 5 years, right?
Let me guess again if my 104 fan stopps operation or becomes annoying loud in the 31st month, Netgear will Not change it on guarantee base, right?
Exactly that is my question. On which circumstances should the NAS accept or deny a different fan? What is this depending on?
Manufacturer? Voltage? rpm Speed? All of it?
