Thanks for the clarification! I see it in the german datasheets (though the english no not have that particular passage).
But nevertheless, I still would like to know the possible reasons, when the NAS does/does Not accept a different fan (replacement after guarantee period).
Which specs does the replacement fan need to match to get accepted (so the NAS does not the mentioned false alarm triade like Synology and refuses to go to sleep)? Is the particular built in fan type available in common retail/specific electronic retail?
