Any news?
I am looking at the photo's directory and "thumb.db" files are in many folders. They seem to be updated quite regularly, as the "file modified" field is current (o near current). Maybe these are the files that you see updated regularly.

Hi Matt16,
I'm still working with support! Support currently want me to un-install the App, delete the ReadyCloud folder, then re-install the App, but I'm reticent to do that, as it will mean moving/deleting my Documents/Photo/Music folders!
However your post has set me thinking and I think you may be on to something. I too had noticed the thumbs.db files, & indeed I get notifications stating that that file has changed, but thought no more about it, but I have now realised that the documents folder contains 15 sub folders! Those sub folders obviously contain loads more sub-folders,but I suspect the notification is now related to a file that's being changed in those first 15 sub folders.
Now, this is where it gets more interesting, my photo's & music folders don't give me a message stating x number of files changed, but, when I was setting up the ReadyNAS, initially I copied the contents of the my documents folder directly to the chosen folder on the ReadyNAS. I then installed the RedayCloud App & did a sync, which resulted in the App creating a duplicate documents folder on my PC but in the Users\"user name"\ReadyCloud location.
So I then changed the location of my Photo's & Music folders on my PC to the Users\"users name"\ReadyCloud, then did the sync, so the sync would have been in the opposite direction, I.E. PC to ReadyNAS. This leads me to think that the issue has arisen due to the direction of the initial sync for the documents folder being from the ReadyNAS to my PC.
I have fed this information back to support, although I'm now thinking deleting the contents of the documents folder on the ReadyNAS & re-sync'ing may solve the issue.
I'll update this thread in due course.

Hi Hillbill,
Thanks for the update. I hope you could provide an update after you've done testing and if ever support provided a fix to the issue that you've reported.
Kind regards,BrianL

Hi HillBill and BrianL:
Very interesing.
If I understand it right, the process you described regarding the different "direction" of the file upload is identical to mine: I also moved some files to NAS, then installed ReadyCloud, moved folders off the C drive and then upload all the rest using the sync'ed folders - and the files changed seem to refer only to the original batch of files uploaded before installing ReadyCloud. I remember this because I noticed it quite soon but was not sure it had any meaning or if I was recollecting the sequence of events wrongly . However it is striking that also in your case this phenomenon happened only on the files/folders that you uploaded directly to the NAS before installing ReadyCloud.

Hi Matt16,
Well support came back stating they were unable to re-produce the issue on 64bit windows and asked me to download teamviewer for 32bit windows, Had to tell them I had the 64 bit version!!
So, I decided to bite the bullet, and try the following.
I stopped the sync on the ReadyCLOUD app for the folder that was bringing up the message - "my documents" folder. I then cut all the contents of the my documents folder on the ReadyNAS into another folder on the ReadyNAS. I then went through all these folders and deleted all files that I took to be ReadyNAS files, such as thumbs etc. I then copied all the contents of the my documents folder on my PC to another location. I then re-started the sync in the ReadyCLOUD app on that folder. This resulted in all the folders and files being deleted in the users\"user"\readycloud\documents on the PC! Didn't expect that! So at this point I had an empty my documents folder on both the ReadyNAS & my PC. So I then downloaded the contents of my documents from the folder I'd moved them to on the ReadyNAS and re-created my folders on the PC in the users\"user"\readycloud\documents. I then copied all the contenets back to the original "my documents" folder on the ReadyNAS from the folder I'd cut and pasted them to. Once that was done I re-started the sync on the ReadyCLOUD app for that folder pair. After the initial sync I got a 400+ files modified message, but... subsequently I have not seen a further message advising 15 files or any number changed, so I think I have resolved the issue! And all seems to be sync'd across ok.
I'm now convinced that the issue arose because of the manner in which I initially set up the sync for this folder pair, in that after copying the folders & files to the readyNAS, when I started the sync I didn't have the corresponding folders in the users\"user"\readycloud\ path. But when I did the photo's and music folders I changed the location on my PC after copying then to the ReadyNAS, BUT before I started the sync for those folders.
I don't know whether it's practical for you to perform the same, but I think that if after I'd move the contents of the folders on the ReadyNAS & my PC, then sync'd so that both the original locations are empty, instead of downloading them from the ReadyNAS, I suspect I should have just copied them back from where I'd moved them to on the PC rather than downloading them from the ReadyNAS. (As I discovered you can only download files, not folders!).
Hope this makes sense.
Regards,
Paul.
