214 nothing but problems trying to setup and install Plex
I seriously am not this "computer stupid" so either this unit is the demon spawn from hell, or this is a horrible product! Perhaps this information below will help someone else, possibly help me diag...
- Nov 04, 2016Well, no luck on a replacement 214, but since it was bad hardware Fry's happily took back the 214 and the 3x3TB drives. Sorry to Netgear but due to the bad taste I got from the 214, for only $60 more I walked out with a Western Digital MyCloud PR4100 that had the new Intel processor and 4x2TB Red drives all preinstalled that supposedly can also easily run Plex and transcode.

As per your request I sent in the logs, mentioned the hyperlinks to both of my posts, noted my case # and even attached 3 JPGs of the Welcome, Booting and Running LCD displays. The Drive resynch took about 16 hours, and now the power button works properly. but Plex still does not operate, nor does the LCD display look correct. My wife has convinced me that I probably should take it back to the store today and return it.

StephenB I appreciate all your assistance!
I went ahead and uninstalled the Virus Scanner, and Plex. Rebooted and tried to reinstall Plex and still no love.
I'm giving up on this one and taking it back to Fry's. If they have a replacement there I'll try another 214, otherwise I don't know what I'm going to do yet.
