316 and 4tb limit?
I emailed Netgear but haven't yet received a reply. I also can't seem to find an answer in search.
I read on the ReadyNAS 316 that 4tb drives are the max. Is this to be taken literally or just as specifications at the time it was released and perhaps 4tb drives were the largest available. If literal, is this a limitation of the OS? 24tb is probably more than enough at this time for me but I'd like the ability to expand without purchasing a new chassis or entire solution.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired4TB was the max capacity available when the 316 was released.
Take a look at the compatibility list: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20641
There is a 6TB disk on the list.
Some information out there has not been updated to reflect the higher capacity disks now available.
It's possible higher capacity disks still could work in the future. - bkaiAspirantAwesome! Thank you!
