I think it is almost certainly a hardware problem. You should probably open a support case, and sort out your repair and data recovery options.
There is a paper-clip reset button on the back of the ReadyNAS, but you need to be very careful if you use it with the disks inserted - you don't want to do a full reinstall, as that would erase your drives.
