Admin page keeps refreshing...time off after 6.10.5 hotfix
I just applied the 6.10.4->6.10.5 hotfix. The files are accessible from Windows Explorer, but I cannot do any maintenance via the web page (I tried in various browsers) because the admin page keeps...

An OS re-install is done from the boot menu, not the GUI. See How-do-I-access-the-boot-menu-on-my-ReadyNAS-102-202-212-or-312 . But I'm not sure that will help, as settings like how time is updated are normally retained when the OS is re-installed. A factory default should fix it, but that wipes out your data.
Do you have SSH enabled? It's possible to set the time or go back to 6.10.4 via SSH.
Was your NAS set up to get NNTP time updates? If so, it is curious that's not working right. Gets me wondering if a dead battery might be the cause for some units doing this, as the time at boot would be wrong.

Later today or tomorrow I suppose I will try an OS reinstall from the boot menu. If it simply reinstalls 6.10.5 I'm not sure how successful the process will be, however.
As things stand at the moment, I can't stay connected for more than 10 seconds via the browser interface (multiple browsers, Windows and Android). I can very briefly switch from the admin page to another option, but am disconnected too soon to be able to carry out a command (eg, d/l a log file). I can't log in via Putty as I am denied access and I can't generate any log file via Putty which I thought might help.
Will report back.

Can you get a log file via RAIDar?
- popsterMay 23, 2021Aspirant
I'd forgotten about RAIDar. Yes, I was able to connect to the NAS with RAIDar and d/l all the logs after making a couple of attempts to access the admin page. I went through every log and the corresponding time stamps and saw nothing that would give a hint as to what's going on. Nevertheless, I'd be happy to post whichever one(s) you'd like to review.
Thanks!
