ReadyNAS Pro 6 running OS 6.10.5 Hotfix 1 - AntiVirus not updating

ReadyNAS Pro 6 running OS 6.10.5 Hotfix 1 has stopped updating the AntiVirus software.  I am being sent the following Email messages from the NAS:

Antivirus scanner definition file update failed due to download failure. Check your Internet connection.

This is not an internet connectivity issue but more that the ClamAV software on the NAS is out of date and is being blocked, by ClamAV, from fetching updates.

I have read elsewhere here that OS version 6.10.6 has been released to address this issue.  My question is when will this update be made available for normal online update for the ReadyNAS Pro 6?

Netgear doesn't support OS-6 on your Pro 6 at all.  You should have been aware of that when you converted it from 4.2.x. However, OS-6 (and this release) will work on the Pro-6.  FWIW, my own Pro 6 is converted.

BTW, if you are using the stock memory (1 GB) on your Pro-6, then I suggest that you upgrade it to 2 GB (or perhaps 4).  This is easy to do, and inexpensive.  Some folks have run into out-of-memory conditions (typically crashes) with the stock memory.

This isn't beta, Netgear has released it for production. But Netgear always releases firmware for manual installation first, and then afterwards puts it on the update servers (generally one to two weeks later).

If you are willing to wait, then just check every day or so.  But if the AV is important to you, you can manually install it.

Is that code production ready?  Does it support this model of ReadyNAS (it is not in the list of supported devices).
