Another successful recovery
So after 4.5 years I've had my first real In-NAS disk failure - a 3 year old 1.5TB drive decided enough was enough. No warnings, no signs - just an unexpected "You have a dead disk" email (or whatever...
Unfortunately, over the past 5 years and three devices, I have an opportunity to prove that it works about 4 times. The first time was within a month of setting up my then new NV+, but at least the replacement drive ran for three years non-stop until replace with a larger drive. I wish the drives were as reliable as my ReadyNAS units have been.
