Anybody using a 2TB+ USB Hard Drive for external backup?
I'm interested in finding a 2TB (or larger) external USB HD to use in conjunction with Frontview backup.
Curious if anyone can recommend a compatible solution--the official compatibility list for USB hard drives seems a bit dated.

mdgm wrote: Correct. Larger capacity drives than 2TB will only work on x86 ReadyNAS (e.g. NVX, Ultra, Pro). This is true for both internal and external disks.
Just to confirm, does that mean that for a x86 ReadyNAS running 4.2.16 or newer (and thus supporting 3TB+ drives internally) they will do USB backup to them fine?
Thinking of buying a 4TB USB drive... either a Seagate GoFlex Desk 4TB or Hitachi 4TB Touro Desk Pro.- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI don't have any drives greater than 2TB in capacity. Maybe someone else could comment. I would certainly suggest giving it a try on the latest firmware.
- onimodAspirantI have a WD Elements 3TB (2794GB) connected to a Pro Business 4.2.21 - works fine.

My Bluray player is streaming from it just fine, even though it is lowly USB 2.0 on the NVX.
