AP9620 Legacy Communications Smartslot Card?
I have an APC Smart UPS 700 with an empty smart slot. Does anybody know if a ReadyNAS Pro 4 will work with the AP9620 Legacy Communications Smartslot Card? The card comes with a serial and USB port.

... or is it possible to buy a serial to USB converter cable, and use the existing serial port on the Smart UPS 700? I found this AP9584 serial to USB conversion cable, but wasn't sure if it would work:

- Just an update: It turns out the AP9584 serial to USB conversion kit is only compatible with Back UPS and Back UPS Pro units. Apparently it does not work with Smart UPS units.
I decided to get an APC Smart UPS SUA750 that comes with a USB port built in. For $100 with new batteries on ebay, I figured that was a sure bet vs. experimenting with a $50 AP9620 USB card that might not work... - Ya the serial>USB adapter wont work with the ReadyNAS. Best bet is with the SmartUPS that has USB built in.
