APC Back-UPS 700G (UK) - ReadyNAS Pro + Duo
Hi guys,
I have successfully set up the APC Back-UPS 700G (UK model : BE700G-UK) and it seems to be working well.
I have the following connected to it:
* ReadyNAS Pioneer Pro (with 6x Hitachi 3TB 7200rpm non-green drives)
* ReadyNAS Duo v1 (with 2x WD 2TB Caviar Green drives) (with remote network UPS connection to the Pro)
* Netgear GS108 switch
* Small powered USB hub
With all of this, it is showing runtime 19 minutes, which I was able to verify with a full discharge and power down test. Not a huge amount of time for those with major outage problems, but for my situation with infrequent, short outages and surges, this is just the right level of protection to ensure a few extra minutes of backup time and clean shutdown of my NAS.
Thanks to those of you who helped me make an informed purchase and not spend way too much!
