Back-UPS Pro 1000 status not showing correctly
I have a Readynas Pro 4 running firmware 4.2.17 with which I recently starting using an APC Back-UPS Pro 1000 UPS. This is a brand-new fully charged UPS. Unfortunately the readynas does not reliably report the UPS status on the Health page of the web interface. If I disconnect the usb cable it reports correctly for a short while and then it changes to showing 0% charge. The front panel display on the UPS reports everything ok. I looked on the hardware compatibility list and there are some similar but not identical reports for other APC models. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

- There were UPS issues resolved in later firmware releases. I would suggest updating to the most current version. http://www.readynas.com/?p=6469
- OK, thanks, I'll try that the first chance I get. On an unrelated topic, I have another unit (an ultra 4 plus) that I just did an update from the web interface today and it only identified 4.2.20 as the latest version. Is there a particular reason for this?
- The release of 4.2.21 is recent enough that not all of the references to it are up to date. It is still a little spotty on which devices are seeing it.
