Backup .apps?
Greetings,
We have a ReadyNAS 3138 running 6.10.1
We would like to create a daily backup of the .apps folder. .apps is a hidden folder on the data volume. We can see it when mounted in Windows File Explorer, but cannot see it on the ReadyNAS when attempting to create a backup.
Is it possible to backup the .apps folder with the ReadyNAS or do we need to use a third-party program?
Thanks for any insights you can share.

You should actually only be seeing it in File Explorer if you are using the admin credentials. I don't think there is any guarantee that a backup of .apps can be restored and have everything work as expected. There is no backup mechanism built into the NAS for apps. Since it's a hidden folder, I'm not sure whether a complete volume backup will get it or not.

After research and experimation this was the conclusion that I had reached. Thanks for verifying Sandshark.
I'm need to backup the metadata that the Plex server stores in the .apps folder. I haven't found any dependable information about this however.
I'm going to check in on the Plex forum. If I learn anything useful, I will post here.
Thanks again!
