Battery Backup for readynas 424

My old ready nas NV+ would easily connect to a UPS battery backup. I have replaced it with a 424 but when I plug the USB cable into the unit it does not recognize the the UPS unit. Any ideas on how to get it to recognize a UPS for automatic shut down on power loss?

It should still automatically recognize it. What model UPS?

  It does. I know I reseated the cable once before. but this time it worked. I have it plugged in the front. Wish this had 2 ports on the back. Oh well. Thank you for your confirmation it should work
