Cannot connect to NV+ v3 with ipad v13.2.3 from file explorer

Having problems connecting to my NV+ v3 NAS from file explorer on ipad running v13.2.3 When I try to set up the NAS as a source enter restricted user enter user and password, it says operation not supported. The NV+ has been updated to newest firmware. Not sure if something isn't enabled ie SMB on the NV+

    Your old NAS runs SMB 1.  I believe your problem is because iPadOS won't work that old version of the protocol
