Changing from Duo V2 to Ultra 2 discs compatible?
I'm a newbie to the world of NAS and a recent purchaser of a Squeezebox Touch so after some thorough research (or so I thought) of the Netgear and Logitech Squeezebox websites I purchased a ReadyNAS Duo. As the Duo was obsolete I bought the V2 only to find that squeezebox is not yet supported on the V2 and no immediate signs that it will be. At the same time I purchased two Western Digital WD20EARX drives which are on the list of compatible drives.
I now need to change the Duo V2 and think the Ultra 2 is the obvious choice but I notice that the WD20EARX is not listed as compatible (it lists the older WD20EARS instead). Would it be likely that the WD20EARX drive would work in the Ultra? Interestingly, the Duo V2 lists both the WD20EARS and the WD20EARX as compatible.....
I'm quite disappointed that the Netgear website didn't make it abundantly clear that the V2 doesn't yet have the Squeeezbox add on. It suggests that all readynas products can be partnered with Squeezebox.
Hopefully I can resolve the issue by simply upgrading to the Ultra2 so if anyone can provide guidance on this I would be very grateful
Thanks
Matt

If you want to risk it you could:
1. Backup all data
2. Verify backup is good
3. Move disks across to Ultra 2 and do a factory default: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_use_the_boot_menu
The drives may work but if you encounter issues with them NetGear will deny support. However you should backup important data primarily stored on the ReadyNAS regularly anyway.
