The charge % and time remaining match that of the display on the UPS. The ReadyNas will properly shutdown too.

Readynas allows you to set the threshold before the NAS shutsdown on low battery. its in percentage 10-90%. Not sure how Netgear specified the AUTO setting, but I suspect they have some calculation that watches time up decay and determines how much time is required to shutdown the NAS. Just a guess. If you are concerned, then select a percentage. I recommend you don't go below 20% as batteries can fall flat fast as they age.
The host name option allows you to have other devices such as a Windows PC monitor the UPS connected to the NAS. This is for people who want to remote monitor the NAS or want to connect a PC and Readynas to a single UPS.
