DC plug size for ReadyNAS duo v2 (RND2000)
Hi community,
I need to replace my power adapter, and unfortunately Netgear does not provide them separately. So I'm stuck with a third party solution, which raises two issues:
- What is the exact plug size for the DC connector? I have tried both 5.5x2.5 and 5.5x2.1 mm, and both do not fit the socket properly.
- The original European adapter came with an earthed 230V plug. Most replacement adapters have an unearthed plug. Would that be a problem?
Looking forward to your replies.
Cheers,
Jochem

It should be 5.5mm/2.1mm. FWIW, there is one here that claims to be compatible: https://www.amazon.de/Adapter-RND2210-200NAS-ReadyNAS-NU60-H120500-I1-332-10122/dp/B08LDSWBRV

Hi Stephen, thanks for your reply. I've seen other brands too that claim to be compatible, but how can I be sure? It would be best if someone who's been using such adapter can confirm it fits properly. I'd rather prevent having to order multiple models and having to return all but one.

Hopefully someone will.
My own Duo's power brick is still working. But I don't have a tool that can measure the plug size accurately.
