Dead Disk Replacement Question
I have a RaadyNAS Ultra 6 that had a disk die. I rebooted the unit and the disk still was dead so I ordered a new one. It arrived today so I started the unit and replaced the disk. The front of the unit looks OK...all six drive numbers are lit and it shows C: 4.4/9 TB. I can access the data from my PC no problem. It recognized the new drive and I got the message that the data volume will be rebuilt. The issue is when I start RAIDar and look at the unit. Only 2 of the 6 drives have green lights. All other drive lights are gray. Is this normal? Will this resolve itself when the new drive has been rebuilt? I would have thought that there would be a blue flashing light on the far left while the rebuild was in progress. All other lights for this unit are green as well. When I log into the drive via the web browser I don't see a volume at all. None of the discs show up under Status/Health and there is no volume shown in the Volume section. I am going to leave it overnight but I am a little worried. This is the first drive failure I've had since I purchased the unit in 2010 so I don't know what to expect.
Thanks,
John

I sent my logs and screenshot as requested. I have received no message that the rebuild is done...should I? I also noticed that there are now three green dots in the drive column in RAIDar where here were two last night. Also when I hover my mouse over the volume status green dot in RAIDar is says Volume C: Raid Level X2, Redundant; 4726 GB (51%) of 9250 GB used. So that looks normal.
Thanks, John
