Defective RN31400 - recover data

My 6 years old RN34100 and shows error message "Mount_block_root+25e". I trid both with- and without disks inside. It seems to be a flash issue.

RN31400 is not avaiable any more but ReadyNAS 214 is in stock in Norway and seems to be very similar to RN31400. Will it work if I buy a ReadyNAS 214 and use my old disks?

It is potentially fixable, by doing a USB recovery.  https://kb.netgear.com/29952/How-do-I-use-the-USB-Recovery-Tool-on-my-ReadyNAS-OS-6-storage-system

Yes, you can migrate your disks to the RN214.  Though if you can find an RN424 for a similar price, you should consider that.

One factor is that the RN214 is an ARM platform, but the RN214 is an x86 platform.  The NAS can convert it's software to x86, but it cannot convert your apps.  So you would need to try to remove them and reinstall them.

When switching between ARM and X86, I recommend first installing a scratch disk (not in the array), and then either matching the firmware version on the RN314, or installing the current firmware (6.10.3).
