Difference between Readynas NV+ V1 and Readynas NV+ V2 ?
Hello. Do both the NV+ V1 and V2 models look identical ? Is there anyway to tell the difference between the NV+ V1 and V2 from physical appearance? I believe I have purchased an NV+ V2 however...

Thank you. That actually helped a lot!! Especially the pictures diagrams and how you can't rely on the V1, V2 numbers on the back of the unit since they are all over the world on that.
The biggest difference I see from physical appearance is
1. Power cord: The V1 seem to use a standard power cord the same used for computers, monitors, etc...( see # 5 on first image) however version 2 seem to have a rounded 4 pin power cord in the top right area of the back of the unit(see reference 5 on the second picture).
2. FAN grill on V1 seem to have supporting metal in a pattern that looks like this " <" and " >" vs Version 2 has a more clear view of the fan without those metal pieces
Version 1
Please see pictures for reference.

Version 2

Is it possible that a early version 2 shipped in the same looking chassis as the version 1 units?
The reason I ask is because I just purchased what was advertised as a version 2, had a 3TB drive included, was said to be running the version 5.3 firmware which all indicate a version 2 unit however the picture clearly show the back of the unit to look what is a version 1 unit.
Should I ask for the serial number to verify the version number?
Thanks.
