Does File Search impact Explorer speeds?

File Search will add some load to the NAS (Disk I/O, Memory, and some CPU), so it can degrade overall performance.
It will integrate with macOS search, but not with Windows. https://kb.netgear.com/000045492/ReadyNAS-OS-6-8-File-Search
So if you are a Windows shop, and don't need to search in the web interface, you might as well turn the feature off.
