Double raid1
Hi, I have 4 hard drives and a readynas rn31400, you can make 2 raid1? HD1+HD2= raid1-1 and hd3+hd4=raid1-2? Thank you

2 x raid 1 that would be 2 volumes/arrays of raid 1
how about raid 10?

Raid 1 is good Raid 5 better and 6 ideal!

Lots of enterprises run RAID-10. Protection is in between RAID-5 and RAID-6, and speeds are usually better than RAID-5.
