Duo v1 or v2?
Hi, Sorry for the newbie question. I just bought a Duo off Amazon and am wondering if it's a v1 or v2? Is there an easy way to find out? Obviously hoping it's a v2 as I wouldn't want to have bought...

It is a v1. The quickest way to tell on a Duo is to look at the lower front corner of the drive access door. If it says ReadyNAS Duo, it is a v1. If it says ReadyNAS Duo v2, then it is a v2.
If you start RAIDar and it finds the device in the far right info column if it has 4.1.x it is a v1.
If you boot the device and go into Frontview comes up with an Orange and Blue themed screen and in the lower left corner says RAIDiator 4.1.x it is a v1.
Frontview on the v2 is a gray toned scheme. The Frontview version will be 5.3.x.
The V2 shown in the upper sticker is a slight hardware revision sometime in the production run. I have also heard of a V3 version as well. They were minor version changes that did not affect the specs. As we have said many time, marketing did not one any favors in retaining the model names.
