Error creating new user
Hi,
I am not able to create a new user in readyNAS 214. It gives me an error " invalid user or user ID" Screen shot attached
How to resolve this issue.

There are some reserved names, so it would be helpful if you could let us know what username you tried to create.
Also, did you specify the UID, or did you let the system choose?

You also cannot have a user named the same as a share, except for the automatically-created user share.

Hi,
I specified the UID. When I chose automatic, I was able to create the user.
However i am facing a new problem. I am not able to login with created user on a client system. It gives the error invalid username/password

Hello kishoregopan,
Have you tried accessing the admin using different browser and computer and then create a user? Is the NAS connected to a AD/domain?
